LT Theodore S. Proxmire, Jr. graduated from Yale University with a
B.A. degree and joined the Army Air Corps in 1936.
He was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the Army Air Corps, serving as a pilot in the
1st Pursuit Squadron. In 1939 he died in a plane crash while on military maneuvers
in Florida.
He was a member of the Church of Saint Mary Catholic Church in Lake Forest and is buried in Lake Forest Cemetery.
